Product Overview
MTOS3UM-10 Tosyl Magnetic Beads are superparamagnetic microspheres with a nominal particle diameter of 3 μm and reactive tosyl-functionalized surfaces.
The tosyl groups enable covalent coupling with primary amino or sulfhydryl groups present in antibodies, proteins, enzymes and other biomolecules. This provides stable biomolecule immobilization for affinity separation, immunoassays, protein purification and other life science applications.
The beads are supplied as a 5% aqueous suspension and offer excellent dispersion stability, rapid magnetic separation and consistent performance between production batches.

Product Advantages
MTOS3UM-10 combines efficient magnetic responsiveness with a larger bead size for convenient handling and rapid magnetic recovery. The 3 μm particle size provides a balanced surface area for biomolecule coupling while maintaining excellent suspension characteristics.
The tosyl-functionalized surface forms stable covalent bonds with suitable amino or sulfhydryl groups on proteins and antibodies, reducing ligand loss during repeated washing and separation procedures.
The superparamagnetic core enables rapid collection using an external magnetic separator without residual magnetization after the magnetic field is removed.
Storage and Handling
Store at 2–8°C.
Do not freeze.
Keep the container tightly sealed.
Gently invert or vortex the suspension before use.
Ensure the beads are completely resuspended before sampling.
Avoid prolonged exposure to strong magnetic fields during storage.
Use clean laboratory equipment to prevent contamination.
